Café at St. Martin’s
Towering above Tanglewood’s beautiful homes and gardens, St. Martin’s Episcopal Church stands out as a genuine work of art. Once inside the walls of the church, the piazza is stunningly beautiful with artfully shaped trees, striking archways and a fountain in the center.
But what most don’t know about St. Martin’s is that it houses a café inside. Despite having the appearance of a typical cafeteria, the establishment proves to be anything but. Behind sneeze guards stand a friendly staff happy to visit with patrons and offer tips on the day’s best dishes. The food is homemade, fresh and absolutely delicious, and many people will take their entrées outside to enjoy it at tables set along the shade of the colonnade.
For any Houstonian, life can be pretty hectic. So whether you have a bad day in traffic or feel pressured by deadlines at work, escape from the chaos by visiting St. Martin’s for some comfort food and a peaceful afternoon.
